![]() Even if I think the third semester doesn't fit all that well P5R has secured a spot in my top 10 games of all time. Without this quarantine I don't think I would've ever found the time to beat Persona 5 but I'm really glad I did it. I clocked in at 143 hours which is bonkers 'cause I didn't even get to max out all the confidants. Hunting for Will Seeds made me take the Palaces' level design more seriously and I can't even imagine what a bummer it would be to not have your guns reload every fight. After watching the ending of the original Persona 5 on Youtube, I wish I had just gone with that instead of looking up a spoiler-free guide for the true ending, which I feel would fit a second playthrough a bit better.įrom what I've read of the gameplay changes Royal brought, I think they really add a lot to the experience. Thematically I think the third semester stuff is very well-handled and actually fits with the other themes of the "base game", however it kinda killed the momentum of the narrative, which was reaching a very satisfying conclusion. But while I enjoyed the new third semester I think the story works better without it. Love the story, the characters, the gameplay. So, today I beat P5R, my first Persona game. If I were to put Tyrant's Mind, Magic Ability, Elemental Boost, Elemental Amp, and have Pagan Allure, would he break the 100% damage increase cap? Or would having all of that only waste skill slots? Could I have Tyrant's Mind and an Elemental Amp and still be reaching the maximum damage threshold? Does Satanael even need elemental boosts/amps considering Pagan Allure and Tyrant's mind both increase magic damage by 50%, meaning they already reach the 100% damage cap? So how does Tyrant's Mind (A unique Satanael skill that amps all skills including Gun) and Pagan Allure (Satanael's unique trait which increases all magic damage by 50%) factor into this? ![]() I'm not sure whether the boosts/amps are additive or multiplicative, but I continuously hear 100% is the cap for damage. ![]() When you put Magic Ability (25% magic damage increase) + Elemental Boost (25% increase) + Elemental Amp (50% increase) on a persona with the elements being all the same, you theoretically get a 100% increase to damage. So currently I am trying to make Satanael into a persona worthy of "god-killer" and need to know something. Mechanical question regarding boosts, amps, and damage caps.
